1. Overview
Citadel TCG offers a cost-per-click (CPC) advertising system that allows users to promote their shops, listings, and content to the Citadel TCG community. This policy governs the creation and display of advertisements on the platform.
2. How Advertising Works
- Model: Cost-per-click (CPC) — you pay only when a user clicks your ad
- Funding: Ads are funded from your advertising wallet, which you top up via Stripe
- Placement: Ads appear in designated ad placements throughout the platform, clearly labeled as "Sponsored"
- Targeting: You can target by game, region, and other parameters available in the campaign settings
- Budget: You set a daily budget and maximum CPC bid
3. Ad Labeling and Transparency
All advertisements are clearly labeled as "Sponsored" in compliance with applicable advertising regulations and the Digital Services Act. Users can always distinguish paid content from organic content.
4. Prohibited Ad Content
Advertisements must not:
- Contain false, misleading, or deceptive claims
- Promote counterfeit, illegal, or prohibited items
- Include sexually explicit, violent, or offensive content
- Infringe any third party's intellectual property rights
- Promote competing platforms or services without prior approval
- Target or exploit minors
- Contain malware, phishing links, or redirect to harmful websites
- Discriminate against protected groups
- Make unsubstantiated health, financial, or legal claims
- Promote gambling, alcohol, tobacco, weapons, or controlled substances
5. Ad Review and Approval
- All ad campaigns are subject to review
- We reserve the right to reject, pause, or remove ads that violate this policy
- If your ad is rejected, we will provide a reason and you may modify and resubmit
- Repeated violations may result in advertising privileges being revoked
6. Click Fraud Prevention
We implement measures to detect and prevent click fraud, including:
- Automated detection of suspicious click patterns
- IP-based and session-based duplicate click filtering
- Refunds or credits for confirmed invalid clicks
Advertisers must not engage in click fraud on their own or competitors' ads. Artificially inflating clicks is a violation of the Terms of Service and may result in account termination.
7. Advertising Wallet
- Fund your wallet via Stripe payment
- Wallet balances are non-refundable once ads have been served, except in cases of confirmed invalid clicks
- Unused wallet balances may be refunded upon account closure, minus any outstanding obligations
- Wallet top-ups are subject to applicable VAT
8. Data and Privacy
We do not share individual user data with advertisers. Campaign analytics are provided in aggregated form (total impressions, clicks, CTR, spend). We do not use personal data for behavioral profiling or cross-site tracking for advertising purposes. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
9. Advertiser Obligations
- Ensure your ads comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where they may be displayed
- Obtain necessary rights and permissions for any content used in ads (images, text, trademarks)
- Accurately represent the products or services advertised
- Comply with the Terms of Service and these advertising policies
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Advertising Policy at any time. Active advertisers will be notified of material changes via email or in-platform notification.
